Supporting Under-Privileged Families with Essentials
Our Monthly Grocery Distribution Project is designed to ease the financial burden of families in need while ensuring consistent access to basic food and household items. This initiative is carried out under the MSF ComLink+ Families program, focusing on supporting under-privileged communities in Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang.
Project Overview
- Start Date: July 2024
- Duration: 6 months (pilot phase)
- Current Reach: 22 families
- Goal: Expand to support 50 families in the coming months
- Budget: Approximately $75 per household per month
Lead Organizations
- MMM: Supporting 15 families in Bukit Batok
- Sunshine Trust: Supporting 7 families in Bukit Panjang
Why This Matters
Many low-income families struggle with rising living costs, and regular groceries are a major expense. By providing monthly grocery bags, we ensure families can focus their limited resources on other critical needs such as education, healthcare, and housing.
This project not only addresses immediate needs but also strengthens community bonds by showing families that they are not alone in their journey.
